As you probably already know, we are a very unique company.
All of our sandals and handbags are handcrafted of 100% leather, and with the finest genuine kid-skin. We make our sandals one pair at a time in South Florida, as they have been since 1963. Stephen Bonanno Sandals is a family owned and operated business that prides itself on excellent customer service. There is a repair dept on site for resoles and repairs and we stand proudly behind our product.

We have an amazing and loyal following and the “Bonanno” brand is growing everyday.
** Jacqueline Kennedy wore our sandals in the 60s. She actually used to come into my Mom and Dad’s shop in W. Palm Beach, to order them. Mom says her first pair were Black base with the white whipstitch. She had a yellow pair and baby blue pair.
** Oprah Winfrey put Bonanno’s on her “Top 10 O List” in June 2002 with her very own personal pair of Emma monograms in Emerald Blue base with Pomme whipstitch. Today her producers still order them.
** Lilly Pulitzer as well as her daughters also wear our sandals. It was Lilly who coined the phrase “it’s barefoot or Bonanno’s.” We loved it, swapped the words around, and use it today as our slogan.

Bonanno’s or barefoot! It’s a lifestyle.

 

We have a cult like following of Bonanno fans who travel around the world capturing themselves in their Bonanno’s. I can’t think of any other shoe/sandal line that generates this kind of attention. When boutiques carry our sandals we feel it’s very important to be more than just product in their stores. We like to educate them as to the differences between Bonanno’s and other brands that look like ours. We share our family story and explain how our sandals are made, the materials we use.
